Standing erect at the water's surface level gives you the feeling, and appearance, of walking on water. It's also a great way to get fit, as you work the legs and core to stay up on the board and the arms and back to propel yourself. The board is broad and stable enough that someone got the bright idea of treating it like a floating yoga mat, and SUP yoga was born. The paddle board reveals whether you are leaning more heavily into one foot or the other and reminds you to really engage your legs in standing poses a lack of balance on the paddle board results in an unexpected dip.
This class is for those in good physical condition that know how to swim
and not afraid to get wet.
SUP Yoga with Connie Lozano on Boerne Lake is open to adults who are of good health and know how to swim. Yoga expiercience helpful but not neccesary.
SUP yoga is a great way to reconnect yourself with nature while experiencing all the benefits of yoga.
This class will incorporate elements of vinyasa flow and breathing designed to balance you on and off the board. Expect to have fun while challenging your individual edges of flexibility, focus, strength, and balance. We will conclude with a relaxing savasana (meditation) back to shore or paddle if conditions require.There really is no other experience like SUP yoga.

Hill country paddle sports provides you with all the equipment you will need for your time on the water. Our team is committed to you having a fun and safe experience on the water. We are experienced working with people of all ages and athletic abilities and are excited to get you on board.
SUP is a sport for all ages and ability levels. Families share quality time paddling together, while athletes and other fitness enthusiasts use it as a great cross training activity as it provides core conditioning, coordination and balance. Outdoor lovers now have another way to view the water ways compared to the traditional perspective that sitting in a boat, canoe, or kayak gives.
Companies are using SUP as team building exercise, giving a new meaning to board meetings!

Let the paddle board become your mat, improve your balance and engage your core more than ever. Bring mind, body and spirit together in this floating yoga class.
What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes or a bathing suit remember you will get wet.and don't forget sunscreen! You may also want sunglasses, and a hat. Leave your valuables at home.
Will I fall in?
We use wide, stable boards that make SUP easy for beginners but there is always a chance.
Where do we meet?
We meet at Boerne Lake Park , as you drive in look for the Hill country paddle sport sign. You will see our SUP Cabin near the water at the 1st hole for frisbee golf. Before starting the class, you must check in and sign waiver.
What is the cost?
$30 for all equipment and SUP YOGA Class payable to Hill Country Paddle Sportsall forms of payment accepted at the Lake and also on line soon. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
What is the age limit?
As long as you are in good health and are comfortable in the water, there is no reason why you can't enjoy SUP Yoga. The minimum age 13. under 18 require parental consent.
Can I sign up for a class the day of?
We prefer you make reservations for SUP Yoga to ensure your spot. Classes tend to fill up quickly and are kept small to ensure a good safe time is had by all. Sup board rental only is on a first come first serve basis.
Can I attend a yoga, fitness, or social class my first time paddling?
We recommend you have prior paddling experience to ensure proper technique and avoid injury.
Do I have to wear a PFD? Personal Flotation Device
Having one with you is THE TEXAS LAW .You don't have to wear it but it does have to come with you on your board.
What about weather and water conditions?
A little rain is ok but we will reschedule if it's thunder and lighting. If we deem the water conditions for the day dangerous we reserve the right to reschedule. If you are unsure if we are going out give us a call.

This is a twelve (12) hour Yogastrology® Certification Training.
You will become Certified Yogastrology® Inspired in this Initiation Training.
Your name will go on the yogastrology.com website.
All books and course materials are included in the price, and you will receive your Yogastrology® Initiation Diploma (certificate) on the last day of the course.
