In vinyasa or flow yoga the aim is for you to not only contain and channel but become positively charged and aligned with the task at hand, connection to breath. The hallmark of flow is to be in a state of  spontaneous joy or rapture, even become body-less. Flow can also be described as deep focus on only activity, not oneself or ones emotions.  You become the flow, part of the pulsation in all things.

I can develop a home practice tailored to your individual needs and assist you in your personal journey on all aspects of yoga from asana (postures) through pranayama (breath) meditation as well as philosophy.

Childbirth requires a great deal of strength, stamina and focus; yoga helps with all of this. We will explore modifications for different levels of yoga and their corresponding stages of pregnancy.Focus on the breath and breathing techniques will help relax, and will help during labor and delivery.Pregnant women should consult their obstetrician prior to starting prenatal yoga or other type of exercise.

Gentle Yoga

In your very first class you will feel as if you are visiting an old friend. This is a unique and joyous class to be a part of.  If you are new to yoga, recovering from an injury or just want a change of pace from your regular practice. This is the class for you. Some of the students have made this class an important part of thier life for the long term.
